Brampton, ON – The Boys and Girls Club of Peel are proud to announce that Michael J Gyovai, our Resource Development Manager has been awarded the 2017 Volunteer of the Year with the City of Brampton.

“It is my honour and privilege to accept this award, especially surrounded last night by my fellow Bramptonians, my fellow volunteers, the heart and soul of our GREAT City.

I am humbled by the recognition that I have been given as your 2017 City of Brampton Volunteer of the Year.” – Michael J Gyovai

“Though I am the lucky recipient this year, I am proud to share this award with all of you, because it takes teamwork, collaboration, partnerships and willingness for communities to move mountains in order for us all to be successful in the tireless roles we perform for the children, youth and families in Brampton.

In my current role, I am so very lucky and fortunate to be working and volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Peel, alongside our fantastic staff, children, youth and families, striving together to help everyone overcome barriers in their lives, finding meaning and purpose while presenting opportunities to THRIVE in today’s society as we all help to mold and motivate through HOPE, tomorrow’s leaders today as they become #FutureReady for Brampton and the world.– Michael J Gyovai

Michael’s model for success has been evident in the community for years, believing and participating within collaborations, partnerships and team-building initiatives for over 30 years and we are lucky to have him as part of our team.

Congratulations, well deserved!
