Join Our Board of Directors

Changing lives of young people since 1983, the Boys and Girls Club of Peel is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that engages children, youth and families across the Region of Peel. Our families come from all walks of life, some are seen as at-risk children, youth and families from low-income communities but in the end EVERYONE can benefit from the services and programs we offer. We provide a safe place for these individuals to participate in impactful, fun activities that support the development of confidence, learning and positive relationships.

Serving the City of Mississauga, City of Brampton and the Town of Caledon. We are always looking to expand our services across the Region and further grow and develop relationships with our current and future Partners.

We are currently seeking to fill three Board Member positions.  Board members are responsible for strategic oversight of BGCP operations and ensuring sustainability and excellence in service.  Interested and qualified individuals who are passionate about community service are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Human Resources, Fundraising, Finance & Accounting and Community Development.

Please note this is a volunteer position and requires a commitment of up 6 hours /month


·         Attend monthly board meetings (3rd Tuesday or Wednesday Evenings) and sub-committee meetings

·         Guide the organization towards a sustainable future establishing the strategic direction

·         Ensure compliance for legal, financial and contractual obligations

·         Ensure policies reflect community and membership

·         Provide guidance and support to the Executive Director

Required Skill Set:

Expertise in Human Resources, Fundraising, Finance & Accounting and Community Development is a major asset

·         Team Player

·         Committed and Reliable

·         Demonstrated Leadership Roles

·         Understanding of Board Governance Practices

·         Proficient, Written and Verbal Communication

·         Knowledge of the Region of Peel or Municipalities within
