Changing lives of young people since 1983, BGC Peel (Boys and Girls) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that engages children, youth and families across the Region of Peel. Our families come from all walks of life, some are seen as at-risk children, youth and families from low-income communities but in the end EVERYONE can benefit from the services and programs we offer. We provide a safe place for these individuals to participate in impactful, fun activities that support the development of confidence, learning and positive relationships.
We are currently serving the City of Mississauga, City of Brampton and the Town of Caledon. We are always looking to expand our services across the Region and further grow and develop relationships with our current and future Partners.
OUR MISSION: To provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

The mandate of the BGC Peel is to:
Support programs that empower children and youth in their development towards achieving their potential as a contributing member of society.
Undertake active outreach to serve vulnerable(1) children and youth.
Create opportunities through which all children and have equal access for participating.
Facilitate the development and enhancement of community programs that aim at prevention and support.
Provide services for children and youth that support their development as individuals within the context of the family environment.
(Vulnerable is defined as those children and youth at risk for development of significant social, emotional, or behavioural problems. These children are more likely to be dependent on public resources over the course of their development, particularly through child welfare, social assistance, or mental health service systems.)
BGC Peel, nationally, provincially and locally have endorsed 5 core values common to every club throughout Canada:
Inclusion & Opportunity:
We strive to offer children and youth from all economic, cultural and social backgrounds access to the resources, supports and opportunities that will enable them to overcome barriers and achieve their positive potential in life.
Respect & Belonging:
We provide a safe, supportive place, where every child Is listened to, respected and valued in an environment of inclusion and acceptance. Our staff and volunteers model honesty, fair play, positive attitude, cooperation and respect for self and others.
We believe all young people can grow into responsible, contributing and self-reliant members of society. Children and youth are at the centre of everything we do. Through adventure, play and discovery, we encourage and empower them to develop healthy lifestyles, a lifelong passion for learning, leadership and life skills and a sense of social responsibility.
We work together with families and volunteers in each community, in partnership with the public and private sector, to create healthy community solutions to providing children and youth with what they need for optimal development.
We speak out on behalf of children, youth and their families to reduce disadvantage, enhance their lives and enable their voices and ideas to be heard.
